Buco Engineer Boots / Buttock BA22001 | Black
THE REAL McCOY'S iconic Engineer Boot is made from rare "Buttock" horsehide, which is sourced from the rear portion, the transition area between the lumbar spine and tail vertebrae, of the leather. It is dyed black by a process called "pigment finishing". The brown core comes out through wear in stressed areas, giving the boot a particularly beautiful patina. Buco, founded in 1933 in Detroit, were leading manufacturers for motorcycle parts and made accompanying durable leather goods such as jackets and boots.
